    Key Responsibilities
    • Deliver patient care through the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation across patients from birth to elderly
    • Direct and coordinate nursing care in accordance with established nursing practice standards
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to achieve quality, cost-effective patient outcomes
    • Administer treatments and medications, interpret diagnostic tests, and provide education to patients, families, and significant others
    • Apply age-specific considerations and cultural sensitivity when rendering patient care
    • Supervise unit secretaries and OB Techs in collaboration with the Charge Nurse
    Required Qualifications
    • Associate Degree in Nursing from an NLN-approved institution required
    • Current licensure in good standing as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Alaska
    • Current BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications required
    • Knowledge of AWHONN standards
    • Proficient oral and written communication skills with the ability to document care delivery accurately
    • Ability to work independently within prescribed limits and maintain flexibility with scheduling
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
    • 1–2 years of recent OB experience preferred
    • National Certification in Obstetrics preferred
