    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Newborn Nursery / NICU

    Location

    Austin, Texas

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | On-Call Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a Newborn Nursery setting with NICU-level capability
    • Manage patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 4:1 depending on acuity
    • Operate and monitor specialized equipment including isolettes, ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, and breast pumps
    • Document patient care accurately using Meditech and CPN EMR systems
    • Fulfill on-call requirements and complete 4 weekend shifts per schedule
    • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary night shift team including charge nurses, team leads, transport nurses, RTs, and unit assistants
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience
    • Ability to work night shift hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
    • Willingness to fulfill on-call and weekend shift requirements
    • Proficiency with NICU-specific equipment and technology
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • 2 or more years of Level 4 NICU experience
    • Experience working in a high-census unit (65+ beds) with a large multidisciplinary team
    • Adaptability and positive attitude in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
    • Strong team-oriented approach to patient care
