```htmlJob Opportunity – Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU II/III) Registered Nurse – South Carolina

Start Date: September 21, 2026
Location: South Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Two shift options available: 4x12-hour shifts (1900-0730) with no call, or 3x12-hour shifts (1900-0730) with at least one 12-hour call shift bi-weekly. Weekend coverage every other weekend unless needs change. Patient ratio 2:1.

Highlights:

  • Advanced Level II and Level III NICU experience with complex neonatal patient population including babies 22 weeks gestation and greater
  • Comprehensive case mix including HIE, abdominal wall defects, respiratory distress syndrome, drug exposure/withdrawal, sepsis, and multiple congenital anomalies
  • State-of-the-art equipment including jet ventilators, HFOV, therapeutic hypothermia systems (Arctic Sun), and advanced monitoring technology
  • Specialized procedures including full body cooling, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, Avastin administration, and laser eye surgery support
  • EPIC charting system with minimum 1 year EPIC experience required
  • 41-bed unit with average daily census of 38 patients and comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and physical therapy

Requirements:

  • Active South Carolina RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of NICU II and III experience required
  • At least 1 year of EPIC EMR documentation experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers cannot be considered
  • Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and STABLE
  • Flu vaccination required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccination not required
  • Competency with advanced neonatal equipment including high-frequency ventilators, bubble CPAP, therapeutic hypothermia systems, and specialized feeding pumps
  • Willingness to float to other NICU units or facilities as needed based on census requirements
