Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Northern New Jersey

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement (Saturday/Sunday). Holiday requirement: Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays per unit needs. Ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3 in NICU; 1:4 in IMCU. Floating to Newborn Nursery, Pediatrics, and PICU as needed based on patient volume and acuity.

Highlights:

  • Level III NICU experience with complex neonatal care including neonatal abstinence syndrome and respiratory distress management
  • Care for neonates 29-34 weeks and greater than 34 weeks gestation
  • EPIC charting system with Crib Notes; comprehensive orientation and training provided
  • Supportive interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
  • First-time travelers and local candidates welcome at the same rate
  • Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period as needed

Requirements:

  • Active New Jersey or Compact state RN license required at time of submission
  • BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of NICU Level III experience
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • Proficiency in administering blood products, starting and maintaining IVs, medication management including anti-seizure drugs, antibiotics/antivirals, steroids, and neonatal dosage calculations
  • Experience with cardiovascular monitoring, telemetry, ventilator management for intubated patients, HFNC, and oxygen delivery systems
  • Skills in breastfeeding support, enteral feedings, tube placement, glucose monitoring, insulin administration, phototherapy, and developmental care
  • Competence in phlebotomy, sepsis workup, infection control, and isolation precautions
  • Must be comfortable floating to Newborn Nursery, Pediatrics, and PICU with appropriate patient assignments
