Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level III NICU with an average census of 10 patients, primarily Level II growers and feeders at 24-25 weeks gestation
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios based on acuity, with a typical ratio of 1:3
• May float to Labor & Delivery to assist with neonatal resuscitation until the infant is stable and through the first 10 minutes of life
• May float to Pediatrics as an additional resource without taking a patient assignment
• Document patient care using Meditech via WOW workstations; administer medications via Pyxis; operate Solaris IV pumps

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
• BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a NICU setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for premature infants at 24-25 weeks gestation
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records
• Experience in a Level III NICU environment
