Job Opportunity – Neonatal ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Daily census of 30 neonates; patient ratio 2-3:1; float requirements within organization as needed

Highlights:

  • Provide specialized care in a Level III NICU for neonates from 22 weeks gestation and above
  • Comprehensive experience with critically ill neonates, including those under 24-28 weeks gestation
  • EPIC charting system with full access to multidisciplinary support services
  • Advanced clinical skill set including ventilator management, arterial/central line care, and neonatal abstinence syndrome interventions
  • Collaborative environment with physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required

Requirements:

  • Valid Registered Nurse license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU Level III or Level IV experience
  • Proficiency with EPIC documentation system
  • Experience with ventilator settings (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
  • Competency in arterial line management, central line care, and umbilical catheter management
  • 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor)
  • Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
  • Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
