Job Opportunity – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN – Wisconsin

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Day: 7:00am-7:30pm / Night: 7:00pm-7:30am), Monday through Friday with 2-3 weekends per 6-week scheduling period. Float capability required to all pediatric units for patients less than 12 months of age.

- Comprehensive case mix including post-operative care, complex cardiac and surgical patients, therapeutic hypothermia, tracheostomy/ventilator management, and advanced neonatal diagnostics
- Epic EMR system with 24 hours of orientation provided
- Patient-centered care model with robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and radiology
- Advanced equipment and therapies including NAVA ventilation, whole body cooling (Arctic Sun), high-frequency ventilation, and aEEG monitoring
- Patient ratio of 1:3; daily census approximately 17 patients
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years total NICU Level III/IV experience required
- At least 1 full year of Level IV NICU experience (hard stop requirement)
- Experience with post-operative neonatal patients, g-tubes, tracheostomy/ventilator management, and various modes of invasive/noninvasive ventilation
- Active RN license (Wisconsin or Compact State)
- Epic charting system experience required
- Current BLS and NRP certifications (AHA only); PALS preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Must pass telemetry competency exam with strict passing criteria (100% identification of lethal rhythms, 80% overall score)
- Candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility
