Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 3×12 Hours (07:00-19:00) | On-call occasionally | Float to Mother/Baby & Postpartum | Every other weekend required (approximately 7 weekend shifts over 13 weeks)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a nursery setting, including attendance at deliveries and participation in neonatal resuscitation
- Deliver age-appropriate care addressing the developmental, psychosocial, environmental safety, educational, and communication needs of patients
- Perform Mother/Baby couplet care as part of routine nursing responsibilities
- Float to Mother/Baby and Postpartum units as needed
- Access only the minimum patient information necessary to provide appropriate care
Required Qualifications- Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license - must be verifiable via Nursys upload within the last 2 weeks
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - must be AHA or ARC issued with a valid expiration date
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification - must be AHA or ARC issued with a valid expiration date
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience
- Experience in a Level II or Level III NICU, including delivery attendance and neonatal resuscitation
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at travel rate; local candidates are accepted at a local rate
Preferred Experience / Skills- NICU experience combined with Postpartum nursing background
- Familiarity with Mother/Baby couplet care workflows
- Experience floating across perinatal service lines
