**Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse (RN) - Special Care Nursery/NICU!**
**Job Description:**
- Are you a passionate nurse looking to make a significant impact in the lives of newborns?
- As a Registered Nurse in our Special Care Nursery/NICU, you will play a key role in evaluating patients and assisting physicians with top-notch patient care.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Plan, implement, and document nursing care tailored to patient needs.
- Identify patient needs and establish priorities through continuous assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care based on initial and ongoing assessments.
- Initiate assessments reflecting the patient’s problems, physician’s medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage the care of your patients.
- Document care adhering to standards of practice, considering patient acuity and clinical priorities.
- Advocate for evidence-based practice standards, supporting the adoption of innovations in care delivery.
- Provide patient-centric care that aligns with the professional nursing practice model.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Schedule:**
- Shifts: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
- Rotating weekends as needed
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
- No on-call responsibilities
- No floating, except for caring for babies on Postpartum
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 3 years of Mother-Baby experience required.
- Experience caring for newborns is a must.
- Competent in managing higher acuity infants (32 weeks and above) and stabilizing infants less than 32 weeks.
- Required education includes ASN; BSN preferred.
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP, and NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
