Job Title: RN - Neonatal ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years NICU experience required License: BLS, NRP Certifications: National Certification in Basics Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program required Must-Have: - 2 years of NICU experience - Basic vent management - Central line management - Pre/post-surgical management - Tracheostomy management - G-tube management - Basic breastfeeding skills - Bottle feeding skills - Gavage feeding management - Blood transfusion - Infant venous stick skills Description: We are a fast-paced Level IV NICU. We care for infants from 23 weeks and beyond, with varying degrees of acuity. The manager will be conducting interviews. The average daily census is 71. There are NAs with a 1:20 ratio and 2 Charge RNs on each shift. Floating may occur to general pediatrics, PICU, adolescent pediatrics, and pediatric hematology/oncology. Weekend rotation is every other weekend at minimum. Travelers will be expected to work 75% of holidays. Scrub color is royal blue.
