Must-Have:
- Skills in managing SERVO and HFOV vents, tracheostomies, chest tubes, and inhaled nitric oxide (iNO)
- Experience with umbilical and arterial lines, drips, NG tubes, G-tubes, and enteral feeds
Description:
Nursing Float Pool position available.
Must be able to travel to multiple campuses.
Assignments are posted 90-120 minutes prior to shift start.
Facility features a Magnet status and a Level 1 Trauma designation.
The unit will not have CNAs on staff.
Charge nurse will be free-floating.
Respiratory therapy support will be available 24/7.
Neonatologists will also be available 24/7.
Each patient will have their own stethoscope for infection prevention.
Charting systems used include EPIC, Pyxis, and Philips monitoring systems.
Currently, NICU RNs have not been floating.
There may be opportunities to float to a pediatric inpatient unit if assignments are appropriate.
There is also an option to float to another NICU if willing.
Weekend rotation is required every third weekend.
Holidays and time-off requests must go through management for approval.
