TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified NICU RN in Hagerstown, Maryland, 21742!

Job Opportunity – Level II Nursery Registered Nurse – Maryland

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 guaranteed hours per week, every other weekend required, block scheduling available

Highlights:

  • Level II NICU specialty caring for neonates 29-34 weeks gestational age
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 ensuring quality patient care
  • 22-bed unit with average daily census of 3-4 patients
  • Epic EMR charting system utilized throughout the facility
  • Floating to well baby unit within scope as needed
  • 12-hour orientation provided with comprehensive onboarding

Requirements:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license in Maryland (pending licenses accepted)
  • Minimum 1 year of Level II NICU experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Experience with 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratios
  • Proficiency in NICU II skills including neonates 29-34 weeks, UAC/UVC management, bubble CPAP, oxygen delivery systems, IV vasopressors, surfactants, and neonatal abstinence syndrome
  • COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required with no exemptions

Clinical Expertise:

  • Care for premature infants 32 weeks and above, feeder/growers, and stabilization for tertiary care transport
  • Management of respiratory distress syndrome, neonatal abstinence, and hypoglycemia
  • Central line and umbilical catheter care (UAC/UVC)
  • Breastfeeding support, handling of breast milk including pasteurized donor milk, and various feeding methods
  • Administration of antibiotics, surfactants, and steroids
  • Phototherapy and bubble CPAP management
  • Isolation precautions and appropriate PPE utilization

Support Services:

  • Interdisciplinary team including Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Interpretation Services, and Transportation

Additional Information:

  • One request for time off permitted; must be submitted at time of application
  • Local candidates within 50-mile radius accepted at adjusted rate
  • Holiday and weekend coverage expected as part of rotating schedule
  • Non-billable modules averaging 4-8 hours completed during orientation
