Travel Nurse RN - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - $2,092 per week in Salem, VA

Exciting Travel Opportunity: RN NICU (675) **Job Description** - **Location:** Salem, Virginia - **Unit Name:** NICU - **Number of Beds:** 6 (5 open bays, 1 isolation room) - **Patient Ratios:** 1:2-3 - **Unit Staffing:** RN and RT, with unit secretaries and techs available - **Equipped with:** GE 650 monitors, Medela breast pumps, syringe pumps, IV pumps, bili-lights - **Documentation System:** Meditech, Centricity Perinatal - **Scheduling Requirements:** 3 twelve-hour shifts per week - **Floating Policy:** Birth Response/ Stork Nurse - **Patient Experience Requirements:** AIDET, courtesy, and respect **Qualifications** - **Must Have:** - IV insertion skills in preterm or term infants - Ability to work independently with strong assessment skills - Knowledge of symptoms of declining health in preterm infants - **Advanced Skills Needed:** - Care for and stabilize critically ill infants - Vent support, CPAP, UVC placement, surfactant administration - Needle decompression, administer TPN, lipids - **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - Newborn resuscitation, intubation - Umbilical line placement, surfactant administration - Needle decompression, chest tube insertion, NG/OG feedings - **Certifications Required:** - RN licensure - BLS, NRP - **Dress Code:** - Hospital provided scrubs (change on arrival and departure) **Unit Highlights** - **Fantastic Collaboration:** Work with a new NICU team and experienced neonatologists - **New Equipment:** Enjoy the latest technology and tools since the NICU opened in November 2023 - **Flexible Scheduling:** Block scheduling options available - **Why You Should Join Us:** Experience a supportive work environment with a focus on collaboration --- **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
