Job Opportunity – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Rotating shifts with every other weekend requirement; patient ratios vary from 1:1 to 1:4 based on acuity; 12-hour shifts

  • 51-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in an 815-bed acute care regional referral center
  • Work with advanced neonatal care technology supporting premature and critically ill infants
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Collaborative team environment with 120+ nursing staff, respiratory therapists, and dedicated charge nurses
  • Floating opportunities to Pediatrics, PICU, and Mother Baby units (babies only)
  • Part of a comprehensive children's hospital offering 30 pediatric subspecialists and recognized for excellence in pediatric care

Requirements:

  • Current RN license in North Carolina or eligibility for licensure
  • Minimum 2 years of Level III or higher NICU experience
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
  • Stable and NIC-RNC certifications preferred
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced critical care environment
