Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to newborns in a hospital nursery setting
- Monitor and assess the health and development of newborn patients
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate and support new parents on newborn care, feeding, and safety
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
Required Qualifications- Active RN license valid in Virginia or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Newborn Nursery or related neonatal nursing
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior travel nursing experience
- Experience with newborn assessment and care in an acute care hospital environment
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
