Job Opportunity – NICU Registered Nurse – Austin, Texas
Start Date: November 9, 2026
Location: Austin, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 13-week contract. On-call required. Four weekend shifts per schedule.
Highlights:
- 65-bed Level IV NICU serving high-acuity neonatal patients
- Patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 4:1 depending on acuity
- Advanced equipment including isolettes, ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, and breast pumps
- EMR systems: Meditech and CPN
- Large, experienced nursing team with over 200 staff members including charge nurses, team leads, transport nurses, respiratory therapists, and unit assistants
- Opportunities for permanent placement available on night shift and weekend day positions
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Texas or compact state license
- Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
- Level IV NICU experience strongly preferred
- Strong teamwork skills and positive attitude with adaptability to change
- Navy scrubs required
