# Job Opportunity – NICU Registered Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** October 12, 2026 **Location:** Webster, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 12-hour shifts; Day shift requires 4 weekends (Saturday/Sunday), Night shift requires 5 weekends (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)**Highlights:** - 42-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit caring for patients 22 weeks gestation and above- Patient ratios: Level 3 patients at 2:1 or 1:1 based on acuity; Level 2 patients at 3:1- Advanced equipment including ventilators, oscillators, JETs, CPAP, NIPPV, and high flow nasal cannula- EMR systems: CPN and Meditech- Collaborative team environment with clinical nurse coordinators, transport nurses, and support staff on each shift- Opportunity to work with diverse patient populations including NAS scoring, surgical patients, and cooling therapy**Requirements:** - Current Texas RN license or compact state license- BLS and NRP certifications required- Competency in safe medication administration, IV therapy (PIV, PICC, UAC/UVC), and lab draws- Experience caring for premature and critically ill neonates with respiratory support (CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, nasal cannula)- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate care for preterm infants and safe sleep practices- Proficiency with NG/OG tube care and feeding protocols- Experience preferred with ETT, ventilators, JETs, cooling therapy, and surgical patients- Strong ability to escalate patient concerns appropriately**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This NICU position offers the chance to provide specialized care to the most vulnerable patients in a well-equipped, Level III unit with a strong support team.
