**Join Our Team as an RN in the Neonatal ICU!**
**Job Description:**
- **Position:** Registered Nurse (RN)
- **Specialty:** Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- **Number of Openings:** 1
- **Shift:** Nights, 3x12 (1900-0700)
- **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 36
- **Assignment Length:** 13 weeks
**Unit Information:**
- **Department:** Neonatal ICU 5F
- **Number of Beds:** 46
- **Patient Ratios:** Not guaranteed; typically 1:3, determined by acuity
- **EMR:** EPIC
- **Patient Profile:**
- Premature infants
- Infants of diabetic mothers
- Infants with respiratory distress
- Post-date infants
**Qualifications:**
- **Required Licensure:** Current RN License (Missouri)
- **Required Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- **Preferred Certifications:**
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- **Experience:** Minimum 2 years in NICU, Vent competent
- **Flexibility:** Must be willing to float between NICU, PICU, and Postpartum as needed
**Personality Fit:**
- Must be flexible and possess a positive attitude
**Dress Code:**
- **Scrub Color:** Black, with the option to wear Mercy Kids scrub top
- **Unacceptable Attire:** Anything outside of specified dress code
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including:
- Assessment
- Planning
- Implementation
- Evaluation
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
- Adhere to established nursing guidelines, including the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and the Mercy Code of Conduct
