Job Opportunity – Postpartum Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36-hour orientation period; weekend coverage required; may float to units of similar acuity as needed

Highlights:
  • 40-bed inpatient postpartum unit providing family-centered care to mothers and newborns
  • Daily census of approximately 60 patients; couplet care model serving both mothers and healthy newborns
  • EPIC charting system; telemetry interpretation required (EKG exam must be passed prior to start)
  • Two pre-approved time-off periods available during contract
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
  • Experience with diverse patient population including vaginal and cesarean deliveries, NAS infants, postpartum hemorrhage, and pregnancy-induced hypertension
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience required
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required
  • IV start skills and labor & delivery (L&D) experience required
  • EPIC EMR experience required
  • Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
  • Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
  • Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor)
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred
  • Must be eligible to receive flu vaccine (medical exemptions only)
