RN must be skilled with magnesium infusions, insulin infusions, PCA/PCEA infusions, heparin infusions. Description: Position involves caring for postpartum patients and their newborns. The nurse will handle assessments, monitor vital signs, and perform glucose screenings. Bathing and feeding of newborns is a key responsibility. Administration of medications will be required including phototherapy. The selected candidate will provide education to parents on newborn care and breastfeeding. The role includes managing high-risk maternal cases and administering magnesium and insulin infusions. The nurse will work in an interdisciplinary environment with support from various services. Night shifts will require flexibility and the ability to respond to patient needs effectively. The nursing ratios will be 1:3 to ensure focused care for each mother-baby pair. Weekend shifts are required unless otherwise specified. The ideal candidate will have experience with managing complex cases in a postpartum setting. Skills in using IV pumps, PCA, and phototherapy equipment will be essential. Overall, the position demands a compassionate approach and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
