**Exciting Opportunity for Travel RN - Mother Baby/Nursery!**
**Job Description:**
- **Unit Information:**
- Location: Salem, Virginia
- Floor: 2 West
- Type: Maternity Care Center
- **Bed Count:**
- 9 Labor, Delivery, Recovery (LDR)
- 8 Post-Partum/Gynecology (PP/GYN)
- 2 Operating Room (OR) suites
- 23 Wellborn Nursery
- **Staffing:**
- Over 50 dedicated staff members
- Day Shift: Director, Manager, Couplet Nurses, Birth Response Nurse, L&D Nurses, Scrub Tech
- Night Shift: Clinical Coordinator or Charge Nurse, Birth Response, Couplet, L&D Nurses, Scrub Tech
- **Patient Ratios:**
- 3 couplets per 1 nurse
- L&D: 1:1 during active labor/Pitocin/epidural
- **Equipment:** Corometrics
- **EMR:** Centricity Perinatal & Meditech
- **Candidate Qualifications:**
- **Must Have:**
- OB experience
- BLS, ACLS, NRP & AWHONN certifications
- **Preferred:**
- Experience as circulator, 1st assist, or scrub for cesarean sections
- **Key Responsibilities:**
- Labor & Delivery
- Cesarean sections
- Post-partum & newborn care
- OBED triage and inductions
- Collaboration with midwives

- Floating Area: Within the unit only, no other areas in the facility
- **Dress Code:** Scrubs provided
- **Weekends & On Call:**
- 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule (Saturdays/Sundays for days, Fridays/Saturdays for nights)
- No call requirement for travel staff, with opportunities for extra shifts
- **Experience Required:** 2 years
