Patient ratios are labor 1:1 (most of the time), post-partum 5-6:1, nursery 5-6:1. Type of equipment used includes GE fetal monitors with EMR Meditech and CPN. Typical procedures include vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and care for antepartum patients. Newborn and post-partum care are required. Every third weekend is scheduled with 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule. Navy blue scrubs are required for the dress code. MIU nurses have pink badges for infant security.
