Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Postpartum – Kansas

Start Date: August 25, 2026

Location: Wichita, Kansas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; Patient ratio of 3-4 couplets per RN; Flexible scheduling available

Highlights:
  • 29-bed postpartum unit within a high-volume Women's Hospital delivering 400-500 babies per month
  • Focus on high-risk postpartum care with specialized patient population
  • Collaborative team environment with 61 nursing staff members working cohesively
  • EMR: Meditech and CPN monitoring systems
  • Travel assignment with flexible scheduling options
  • Equipment includes Welch Allen vitals machines, CPN monitors, and POC glucose monitoring
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of current acute care postpartum hospital experience required
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
  • High-risk postpartum experience preferred
  • Level 2 Nursery experience preferred
Responsibilities Include:
  • POC glucose monitoring
  • Breastfeeding support and education
  • Post-partum hemorrhage assessment and management
  • Assisting with circumcisions
  • Hypertension assessment and management
