Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years preferred License: Compact license required before start Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: Must be willing to float to like units as needed within the service area. Description: We are seeking a Post Partum Registered Nurse for our Couplet Care unit. This position requires the administration of patient care to both mothers and newborns. The ideal candidate should have experience in couplet care and postpartum nursing. Responsibilities include conducting newborn assessments, providing discharge teaching to parents, and performing postpartum hemorrhage management. The RN will be involved in education regarding breastfeeding, car seat safety, and circumcision care. Knowledge of neonatal abstinence syndrome and metabolic screening is helpful. Candidates should be comfortable with various nursing procedures, including fundus care and IV management. Float requirements may include working in similar units, as needed to meet facility demands. Weekend work is expected as part of the regular scheduling. Candidate should possess strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
