Position involves providing care for postpartum patients and newborns. Typical procedures include M/B care, lactation consultant support, phototherapy, blood sugar checks, and IV antibiotics. Full-time staff includes charge nurses, resource nurses, admission nurses, and patient care technicians. Patient-to-nurse ratios on the night shift are 1:3 for couplets. Candidates should possess a positive attitude and be flexible team players. The unit does not require any on-call shifts, and weekend shifts will be required 3-4 times per schedule. Floating as a resource nurse is rare. Candidates without the required mother/baby experience will not be considered.
