Job Description
Salem Hospital is seeking an experienced MICU RN for its 20-bed Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit. This Level III Trauma Center cares for high-acuity adult patients with conditions including sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, DKA, GI bleeds, renal failure, substance overdose, and cardiogenic shock.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of continuous adult MICU experience
Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
Active Massachusetts RN license; conditional MA license accepted
Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
Telemetry competency required for floating assignments

Unit Details

Unit Size: 20-bed MICU
RN-to-Patient Ratio: 1:1 or 1:2 for high-acuity ICU patients
Floating: Required to Medical/Surgical units, with ratios of approximately 1:4–1:5
Shift Rotation: No rotation; nights remain nights
Facility: 400+ bed community hospital
Parking: Free on-site parking
