Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of up to 1:7
Manage and care for patients with common diagnoses including CHF, COPD, cellulitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI
Titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results as required
Monitor and manage patients on intermittent BiPAP as needed
Collaborate with PCTs and monitor technicians who remotely watch telemetry on the unit
Float to other units as needed based on census; travelers are first to float
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current BLS certification
Current NIHSS certification
Comfort with nurse-to-patient ratios up to 1:7
Availability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled (typically half of total weekends)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in a Medical Surgical setting with telemetry monitoring
Familiarity with Qgenda scheduling platform
Experience managing patients on intermittent BiPAP
