Travel Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Nights)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours Guaranteed per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical floor serving an adult population with diagnoses including sepsis, pneumonia, heart failure, renal failure, and post-operative conditions
- Manage a patient ratio of 4–6 patients per RN on a 32-bed unit with a typical census of 10–20 patients
- Operate and monitor equipment including Baxter IV pumps and GE monitors; document care using Meditech EHR
- Rotate into every third weekend as part of the standard scheduling rotation
- Float as a sitter to the Senior Behavioral Health Unit or ICU on a rare, as-needed basis
- Maintain current BLS certification throughout the duration of the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in Wisconsin (or compact state eligibility)
- Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- BLS certification required
- Proficiency with Meditech or comparable EHR system
- Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) including rotating weekends
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience with post-surgical patients (orthopedic, spinal, and general surgery)
- Familiarity with geriatric and adult patient populations
- Flexible, team-oriented approach to patient care
