Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, rotating weekends)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit in accordance with facility standards and protocols
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver safe, effective patient care
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
- Participate in rotating weekend coverage as required by unit scheduling
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Mississippi or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Permanent address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-acuity Medical Surgical environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in acute care settings
- Demonstrated ability to float to additional units as needed
