Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 56-bed unit covering Oncology, Hematology, Nephrology, Endocrine, GI, Dermatology, and General Medicine
Manage care for adult patients (18+) presenting with diagnoses including cancer, ESRD, diabetes, GI conditions, abdominal pain, and dermatological conditions
Operate and monitor specialty equipment including IV pumps, NG tubes, chest tubes, and specialty beds
Float to other units as required based on staffing and census needs
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using EPIC EMR
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted New York State RN license (verified via NURSYS)
Minimum 2+ years of experience in Medical Surgical and/or Oncology nursing
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current NIHSS certification
Current Chemotherapy (Chemo) certification
Travel nursing experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with Hematology, Nephrology, or Endocrine patient populations
Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system
Familiarity with specialty equipment such as sand beds, chest tubes, and NG tubes
