Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a combined medical-surgical and oncology/hematology unit with telemetry capability
• Care for young adult through geriatric patients across varying stages of oncology and hematology diagnoses
• Support general medical-surgical overflow patients as unit census requires
• Monitor patients with telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (State or Compact) - must be in hand at time of submission; license hits are not accepted
• Candidates must not reside in the following counties at time of submission: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
• Previous employees of the facility must wait a minimum of 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of submission
• Must complete required onboarding core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Orientation modules are completed onsite and are non-billable (approximately 4-6 hours for RN)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a medical-surgical or oncology/hematology setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring
• Experience caring for oncology patients across multiple stages of disease progression
