Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments
- Work independently in completing assignments in accordance with physician orders, standards of care, and nursing policies and procedures
- Provide nursing support to individuals of all ages and their families across inpatient Medical Surgical settings
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and established clinical guidelines throughout all patient care activities
- Complete Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) training within six months of hire
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute or sub-acute facility
- Valid, current, full, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in any U.S. state, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association - must be maintained throughout employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association - must be maintained throughout employment
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification - must be maintained throughout employment
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a referral or regional health center serving diverse patient populations
- Familiarity with culturally sensitive care practices, particularly in Native American or underserved communities
- Ability to adapt to a flexible scheduling environment in a high-acuity setting
