    Contract | 12-Hour Day Shifts | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | Every Other Weekend Rotation

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed general medical inpatient unit serving a broad range of diagnoses including respiratory, gastrointestinal, neurological, musculoskeletal, dialysis (hemodialysis and peritoneal), sepsis, and various infections
    • Maintain a 1:6 nurse-to-patient staffing ratio while delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care
    • Apply critical thinking and clinical expertise within a High Reliability Organization culture focused on identifying risks, preventing harm, and continuously improving outcomes
    • Utilize Epic electronic health records system for clinical documentation (test-out option available)
    • Float as needed to post-surgical floors and other medical-surgical inpatient floors
    • Participate in holiday rotation; up to 2 federal holidays per year and select non-essential holidays as scheduled
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Kansas RN license or Multistate (Compact) RN license required — no encumbrances permitted, no exceptions
    • AHA BLS certification required at time of submission
    • Minimum 1 year of acute care medical/surgical experience
    • ADN or BSN degree in Nursing
    • No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience required
    • Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the standard rate (no radius rule)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with Epic electronic health records system
    • Background caring for patients with complex, multi-system diagnoses in an inpatient setting
    • Willingness to commit to a longer contract (26–51 weeks preferred; priority given to longer-term candidates)
