Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Oncology floor with patient ratios of 1:6 or 1:7
- Perform telemetry monitoring and IV starts as part of routine patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner and Soarian EMR systems
- Adhere to facility scheduling requirements including every-other-weekend availability and minimal time-off requests, particularly around holidays
- Complete up to 8 hours of non-billable orientation modules via HealthStream prior to start date
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (if pending, proof that the process is underway may be considered)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical experience
- Experience with higher patient ratios (1:6 or 1:7) required
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and IV starts
- Must reside at least 30 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates residing within 30 miles will not be considered (candidates residing 31–50 miles from the facility are welcome to apply)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Oncology experience highly preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Familiarity with Cerner and/or Soarian EMR platforms
