Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Nephrology)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend | 13-Week Assignment with Possible Extension
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Nephrology-focused Medical Surgical floor
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:6 or 1:7 during night shift hours
- Perform IV starts and utilize telemetry monitoring as needed
- Operate at an intermediate level within a fast-moving med-surg environment
- Adhere to unit dress code; royal blue scrubs required (not provided)
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (if license is pending, proof that the process is underway may be considered)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent Medical Surgical experience
- Proficiency in IV starts and FM-Intermediate skill level
- Minimal time-off requests; any RTO must be disclosed at time of submission, particularly around holidays
- Must live more than 30 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate; candidates residing within 31–50 miles may be accepted at a local rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification preferred
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
