Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical floor encompassing Orthopedic, Neurological, and Pediatric patient populations
- Manage patient assignments at ratios of 1:6 or 1:7
- Perform IV starts and utilize intermediate fetal monitoring skills as required by the unit
- Complete up to 8 hours of non-billable orientation modules via HealthStream prior to start date
- Adhere to facility dress code; royal blue scrubs required (not provided)
- Maintain minimal time-off requests, particularly around holidays
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; candidates without a license will not be considered — if license is pending, proof that the process is underway must be provided
- BLS certification required
- Minimum one (1) year of recent Medical Surgical experience
- Proficiency in IV starts and intermediate-level skills
- Must reside more than 30 miles from the facility to be eligible at travel rate; candidates residing within 31–50 miles may be accepted at a local rate
- Minimal to no time-off requests; any RTO must be disclosed at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience in Orthopedic, Neurological, or Pediatric patient care settings
