Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 17-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation unit with a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Perform general nursing and med-surg procedures as applicable to the rehabilitation setting
- Collaborate with charge nurses, fellow RNs, and patient care technicians across night shift operations
- Utilize lifting equipment and other unit-specific tools to ensure safe patient handling
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic medical records system
- Float to med-surg as needed and participate in alternating weekend coverage
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas or compact licensure eligibility
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in general nursing skills applicable to a med-surg or rehabilitation environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical records system
