Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Schedule varies based on unit need | Every other weekend required | Holidays required | No call required
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation across a 35-bed Med Surg/Telemetry unit
- Provide care for a diverse patient population including Med Surg, remote telemetry, orthopedic, post-op, CHF, and respiratory patients at a ratio of 1:6–7
- Direct and coordinate nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve desired patient outcomes
- Administer medications using bedside scanning technology within the Cerner EMR system
- Float between Med Surg and Telemetry departments as needed based on unit demand
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid for practice in Georgia
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an acute care setting
- Minimum 2 completed travel assignments required
- Recent hands-on experience with Cerner EMR charting
- Experience with Med Surg patients and remote telemetry monitoring
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with orthopedic, post-operative, CHF, or respiratory patient populations
- Familiarity with bedside medication scanning workflows
- Ability to adapt to varying schedules based on unit census and staffing needs
