    Job Title

    Travel RN – Neuroscience / Neurosurgical (Medical Surgical) – Nights 4x12

    Location

    Saint Louis, Missouri

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (Travel) | 13 weeks | Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 4x12-hour shifts | 48 guaranteed hours per week

    Key Responsibilities
    • Utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care on a Neurosurgical unit, caring for patients with stroke, seizures, MS, and back, head, spinal, and other neurological diagnoses or neurosurgery procedures
    • Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care for assigned patients with a 1:5–6 patient ratio
    • Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments
    • Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information at all times
    • Float within scope as needed and assume occasional Charge Nurse responsibilities when required
    • Participate in weekend coverage on a standard every-other-weekend rotation (Saturday and Sunday) and work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 1 year of inpatient acute care experience in Medical Surgical and/or Neurology/Neurosurgery
    • Current BLS certification
    • Current NIHSS certification
    • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
    • Willingness to take on occasional Charge Nurse responsibilities
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience caring for neurosurgical patient populations including stroke and seizure patients
    • Familiarity with FIT testing requirements and on-site compliance protocols
