Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit in accordance with facility protocols and nursing standards of practice
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitoring patients for responses and adverse reactions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate safe and effective patient outcomes
- Accurately document all patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the medical record
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Tennessee or a compact state license
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong critical thinking and time management skills in a fast-paced acute care environment
