Key Responsibilities
- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients in accordance with facility protocols and standards
- May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management
- Participate in orientation and onboarding activities as scheduled by the facility
Required Qualifications
- Active Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification (AHA) – required and must be documented
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must not have been employed by the facility or its affiliated health system within the past 12 months
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (based on driver's license)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Heparin drip experience
- Experience working in a Level 3 trauma center environment
