    Travel RN – Medical/Surgical Oncology

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
    • Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
    • Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
    • Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided accurately and thoroughly.
    • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and connect with appropriate resources.
    • Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to effectively manage clinical situations.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in state of employment or valid compact license.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
    • Ability to float to all Med/Surg departments as needed.
    • Willingness to work weekend shifts (approximately 2–4 shifts per month, rotated among staff).
    • Proficiency or ability to work within EPIC EMR system.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical or related nursing specialty.
    • Prior travel nursing experience in a similar clinical setting.
