Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided accurately and thoroughly.
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and connect with appropriate resources.
Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to effectively manage clinical situations.
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in state of employment or valid compact license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Ability to float to all Med/Surg departments as needed.
Willingness to work weekend shifts (approximately 2–4 shifts per month, rotated among staff).
Proficiency or ability to work within EPIC EMR system.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical or related nursing specialty.
Prior travel nursing experience in a similar clinical setting.
