    Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Obtain and record initial patient assessments, establishing care priorities based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs; reassess patients systematically to identify trends requiring intervention.
    • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, measurable plans of care consistent with Nursing Standards of Care; modify plans based on patient outcomes and clinical findings.
    • Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of clinical facts; implement and document timely, appropriate interventions.
    • Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning.
    • Delegate and coordinate unit work assignments, follow up on delegated tasks for quality and completeness, and utilize appropriate chain of command for issue resolution.
    • Perform Point of Care testing procedures and maintain compliance with all patient and environmental safety policies.
    Required Qualifications
    • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
    • Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state RN license.
    • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing role.
    • Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age and type of patient population served.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the developmental age of the patient.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working with the EPIC electronic medical records system.
    • Demonstrated ability to float across multiple Medical/Surgical departments as needed.
    • Experience in a travel or high-acuity Med/Surg environment with a 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
