Key Responsibilities Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and available resources.

Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatment.
Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly.
Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and available resources.
Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed to effectively manage clinical situations.
Required Qualifications
Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state RN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing setting.
Ability to float to all Medical/Surgical departments as needed.
Availability for weekend shifts (approximately 2–4 shifts per month, rotated among staff).
Availability for on-call shifts (approximately 2–4 shifts per month, rotated among staff).
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Proficiency with EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
Experience working in a travel or contract nursing capacity.
