Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Orthopedics

Contract | Days | 8-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 55-bed Medical Surgical / Orthopedic unit with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Document and manage patient records using Cerner EMR
- Float between both MedSurg units as needed, with a designated home base unit
- Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling and rotate into the permanent staff holiday schedule
- Collaborate with on-site hospitalists, respiratory therapy (24/7), pharmacy (24/7), and an IV & PICC team available during daytime hours
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of solid Medical Surgical experience required for all shifts
- Night shift candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of solid MedSurg experience in a comparable setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with orthopedic patient populations
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR
- ONC certification preferred for nurses with oncology experience
