Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical/Surgical unit serving patients across all age groups
- Utilize Cerner EHR for documentation, order management, and patient tracking
- Participate in weekend coverage on an every-other/as-needed basis
- Respond to call requirements as needed per unit demands
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing and census
- Adhere to facility dress code; scrubs of traveler's choosing (no casual wear)
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure valid in North Carolina (or compact license eligibility)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/HWC/MAB, and NIH Stroke Scale
- Minimum 1–2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Ability to begin orientation on a Monday per facility requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care setting
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
- Experience caring for diverse patient populations including geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients
