Travel RN – Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Expected 36 hours/week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a mixed Medical-Surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio in a 34-bed unit
- Perform procedures including Foley insertion and central line dressing changes
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management
- Operate unit equipment including bladder scanner, Welch Allyn vital signs monitors, and vein finder
- Fulfill on-call requirements up to twice per contract period
- Work expected weekend shifts on Friday and Saturday nights, approximately every other week (4 weekend shifts per schedule)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- BLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Basic Arrhythmia certification required
- Ability to float to all in-house Medical-Surgical units as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification
- Charge nurse experience
- Flexible and organized work style well-suited to a fast-paced Med-Surg environment
