    Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week | Every other weekend required | No mandatory overtime; overtime is allowable

    Key Responsibilities
    • Directly provide acute care and swing bed patient care as a team member in accordance with the highest standards of evidence-based practice
    • Evaluate patient health status through collection and assessment of health data
    • Provide health teaching, health counseling, and supportive or restorative therapy and treatment directly to patients or through delegation and supervision of others
    • Execute delegated medical functions and review and monitor therapy and treatment plans
    • Accurately and timely document all assessments, interventions, teaching, and care coordination efforts in the medical record
    • Collaborate with ancillary departments and physician providers to address the medical, social, and spiritual needs of patients in a culturally and age-appropriate manner
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
    • Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
    • Current, active Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
    • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
    • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
