Job Title

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend expected (approximately 24 hours)
Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Critical Care Step-Down unit serving adult patients (18+) with cardiac, pulmonary, and complex medical diagnoses including sepsis, acute respiratory failure, CHF exacerbation, post-op, and CIWA protocols
• Perform thorough patient assessments and apply critical thinking to manage a 4:1 patient ratio in a 22-bed unit
• Operate and monitor cardiac monitors, suction equipment, oxygen delivery systems, and vital sign machines
• Document accurately using Meditech EHR - proficiency required
• Float as first to float when unit needs require coverage adjustments
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team while demonstrating strong multitasking, empathy, and a team-oriented work ethic

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Active RN license valid in West Virginia (or compact eligibility)
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a relevant acute care setting
• Proficiency with Meditech EHR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with post cardiac catheterization care
• Experience with peritoneal dialysis
• Background in cardiac and/or pulmonary specialty nursing
