    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Assess, plan, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for assigned patients throughout each scheduled shift in collaboration with the interdisciplinary health care team
    • Identify actual and potential patient needs and problems through thorough nursing assessment to develop an organized, prioritized plan of care
    • Supervise and assign patient care duties to LPNs, nursing assistants, and unit clerks based on patient acuity and staff proficiency
    • Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency and life-threatening situations
    • Administer medications and treatments including IV medications, blood and blood products, hyperalimentation, epidural analgesia, patient-controlled analgesia, and chemotherapy
    • Document assessments, plans of care, interventions, educational needs, and patient and family responses; receive, follow up, and evaluate physician orders per policy
    Required Qualifications
    • Current and active RN state license (required)
    • CPR certification required
    • Minimum 1–2 years of recent acute care experience
    • Ability to float to all Medical/Surgical floors as needed
    • Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel consideration
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with Meditech EHR system
    • Familiarity with adult and geriatric patient populations
    • Background in medical/surgical diagnoses and treatment protocols
